Last night my husband and I got to go out to the movies while the mother-in-law babysat for us. She had our beloved son for the night and for most of today.
It was great to get a sleep in and just do nothing. We went out for lunch and just did what we wanted with no restrictions!
Turns out that while he was there he burnt his little hand. It wasn't until we got home with him that I noticed a blister on the palm of his hand.
Then when hubby was putting him to bed, we found 2 more blisters on his little finger, and they were just as bad as the one on the palm of his hand. Poor wee man.
So today I got a taste of what it feels like when your baby gets hurt, when they shouldn't have, and I wasn't there for him, and he could be scarred for life!
Aw hope he heals quickly. Its scary isn't it, most people just aren't aware enough. And no amount of money or apologies can put it right. Once, a friend of mine listed a whole heap of things to watch for to the babysitter but the babysitter wasn't listening and the baby fell down some stairs. It was horrible, I think something went wrong somewhere but I don't remember. I guess all u can do in the end is make her feel guilty? LOL
